Every year, our students from grades 4-8 have the opportunity to participate in the First Lego League (FLL). Our students build their robots using lego connect pieces, motors, and an EV3. After the robots are built, they learn how to program on the computer, and download those programs onto the robot. We attend the regional qualifier expo in Kingston where our students compete against schools or clubs, racing their robot to complete as many challenges as they can in a timed event.
Along with building and programming robots, our students also research, design, and present a service project based on the theme of the year.
Kingston FLL 2019 Qualifying Expo:
Our Grade 6/7/8 Team won the Judges' Award!
Our students in Grades 1-3 have the opportunity to be introduced to the world of robotics through Junior First Lego League (Jr. FLL). They learn to work and create together while they explore science and technology concepts, using lego and NXT motors.
